As a consultant, she has worked with a range of clients to design, implement and evaluate change management programmes to meet their objectives that are focused on customer relationship management and organisational development. She has 8 years’ experience as a trained Assessor using the EFQM Excellence Model.
Health & Safety
A large number of her consultancy engagements are in the field of health, safety and welfare and environmental management. As a practitioner, she designs and manages systems and training that embrace risk assessment, policies, procedures and documentation, accident investigation, safe system systems of work, evaluation and audits. She has extensive experience of delivering safety training (including IOSH and ILM programmes) throughout the UK and in the Middle East.
Quality Management Systems
Her early training and experience was gained in the automotive industry, applying systems thinking and Japanese manufacturing techniques. She has a good working knowledge of international quality standards. Much of this work focuses on developing Team Leaders and First Line Managers to support organisational change programmes. She is a Consultant with the ILM Quality Learning Solutions team.
Performance improvement is what we do…
She is qualified to work as a CDM Co-ordinator under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007 and is experienced in working both Client and Supplier side. She also has a background in Project Management and undertakes a wide range of assignments for clients in a number of sectors, including PFI projects.
Her dissertation research topic for the MSc in Training & Performance Management was Leadership and Management. She has 18 years experience in helping clients improve performance through people by establishing best practice HR management systems. The writing of policies, procedures and handbooks is part of the process. She has designed and implemented performance appraisal systems.
Learning & Development
Both as a consultant and as a lecturer she has gained wide experience of facilitating the learning and development process in organisations. This includes the design, delivery and evaluation of training systems, including Training Needs Analysis, conducting Focus Groups and internal consultation.
Her experience in writing management training interventions ranges from short courses tailored to client requirements through to programmes designed to meet the National Management Standards and approved by Awarding Bodies. Such programmes range from Level 2 (Team Leader) to Level 7 (Strategic) and include Foundation Degree level in Project Management.
She is a qualified Assessor, Internal Verifier, External Verifier and External Assessor with Awarding Bodies for management qualifications. Her particular area of interest is the development of ‘soft’ people skills and change management.
